Ellesmere 10km race a success

More than 400 runners took to the roads with Rob Samuel (Eryri Harriers) taking victory in a time of 31minutes 22seconds.

Paul Jones headed the Oswestry Olympian charge with a strong run to finish 11th in 34.28.

Ryan Stokes (39.35) and Steve Jones (41.09) also enjoyed strong runs for the host club.

Nick Blake finished in 42.08 for an 86th place finish just ahead of the first Olympian female runner home – Charlote Jones who crossed the line in 43.11 to finish 100th.

The event concluded the Olympians summer fixture list.
